          Kiibo was hanging around in an alleyway , instead of being in school . He normally skipped school for a smoke break , or he just didn ‘ t want to go at all . But , most of the time it was for both . 
          He had a gut feeling that someone was staring at him while he smoked , but it couldn ‘ t be that /one/ green haired guy , could it ? he wasn ‘ t one to skip school to watch some guy he obsessed over smoke . Or , that ‘ s what he thought . Kiibo turned his head towards a bush , seeing a lighter shade of green . Yup , it was /that/ guy .
          “ Are you joking ? ” Kiibo asked himself , letting out a sigh .
          “ What do you want , Amami ? ”

            rantaro was close behind , he stopped when kiibo stopped . it was here when he picked up the hat . when kiibo asked him if he took the hat , he flinched and jumped back . he definitely didn't expect the question . he should've . why did he have to ask ? he knows that rantaro can't lie to him ! it was an impossible feat .
            
            hesitation grew but he managed to squeeze out an answer , “ Yeah . . . I did take your hat . ” he shook in fear of how kiibo would act or say as he reached a hand into his bag and pulled out his hat . he was scared . all too scared . he was always afraid of people's judgements on him , especially kiibo's . that's why he always backed off whenever he was insulted or called names . amami didn't want to be hated .
            
            “ Are you mad . . ? ” he asked , playing with the rim of the hat in his hands . he needed to fidget somewhere . it was hard to look at kiibo . guilt , shame , fear , everything was looming over him .

            Kiibo stopped at the entrance of the alleyway , and stared . Where did he put his hat ? Was it even there anymore ?
            “ I didn ‘ t lose my hat . Go away . I don’t need or want your help . ” Kiibo replied back . He knew his hat had to be around here somewhere . But , he just had to ask something first , “ Did you take my hat , Amami ? Tell me the truth . ” 
            Kiibo knew that Rantaro wasn ‘ t the type to lie . And , if he was , he didn ‘ t think he ‘ d lie to him , even if he wanted to . But , Kiibo didn ‘ t know much about him , so he could be wrong . After all , he was wrong about a few things already .

            that eye roll sort of hurt , as did every action kiibo took to push him away , but that was fine . he learned that no matter what he does , he'll always be met with a similar cold expression . but all the same , he still wanted to pursue kiibo . “ Did you lose your hat ? ” rantaro asked , seeming concerned . “ I can help you find it if you want ! ” he chirped . 
            
            amami followed him as he walked to the alleyway , he couldn't leave kiibo alone like this . even if his offer to help ended up getting denied , he would probably confess that he had it . no , no no no . that's a bad idea . it would make kiibo hate him even more . . . he'd have to find a way to give it back to him conspicuously . a way to give it to him in a way that didn't seem like he had it .
