yesterday was my birthday and only 3 of my irl friends (not counting online friends and u guys)remembered and like 6 people in my family. but today is my cousin’s 1st birthday and suddenly everyone who didn’t remember mine is posting about his and celebrating like crazy. it just makes me feel really sad bc he’s literally turning 1, he’s not even going to remember this, but i will.
          what hurts even more is that my whole extended family has a group chat and no one even sent me a happy birthday text. they just skipped over it like it didn’t matter. and now 24 hours later, the same group chat is full of messages and pictures and excitement for my cousin.
          what’s sadder is that u guys who don’t know me irl and only know me online were able to say “oh it’s her bday”bc i made 1 post about it while my family who has known me my entire life didn’t say shit.
          i know i shouldn’t compare, but it makes me feel invisible. like my birthday didn’t matter at all. i feel forgotten.
