Oh, and I still get a kick out of the fact that later in Burr’s life, when his second wife of like four months filed for divorce, who did she hire to represent her in court? Alexander Hamilton Jr. I can only imagine that Eliza Jumel (Burr’s second wife) walked into Alex Jr’s office and said, “I want to divorce Aaron Burr and take him to the cleaners.” And got as far as “I want to divorce Aaron Burr a—“ when Alex Jr said, “I’ll wipe the fucking floor with him.”
