I know this is completely random, but I just drank for the first time and holyyyyyy crapppp... word of advice, never mix alcohol and chips together, that's a dangerous combination

DaemonXII

@DaemonXII well for me it was a completely different experience, i've read online that people suggest to always eat something before or during drinking, that way you're not just drinking alcohol on a empty stomach, unfortunately for me that wasn't the case. And I had chose a %15 alcohol drink, and I rarely ever drink, I've only drank a total of two times since I turned 21, and when I did drink I only chose lower volume drinks, soft drinks. But anyway, I drank that %15 drink and ate chips during it... worst decision ever. I guess my body just wasn't ready for that volume of alcohol, and drink just tasted like pure alcohol, even when it was pink lemonade flavor, it just tasted like pure alcohol, it was horrible. But not even an hour later my body starts deciding to tell me of the bad choice I made that night, and the bag of chips I ate made it worse. I literally was just laying down for like an hour or two, trying to rest, and the whole time I just wanted to throw up everything in my stomach, my body was wobbly and tired, I couldn't even go a few steps without having to stop myself and hang onto the wall. And even hours later after I had finished the drink, the symptoms were still there, everything I ate I just wanted to throw up. And even the day after, when the alcohol should've already been long gone from my system, I could still taste the alcohol in my mouth and my body was still weary and wobbly, it was just an overall horrible experience and it's really opened up my eyes about drinking, but yeah, just an overall horrible experience, at least for me it was, I don't how other people manage to drink more alcohol and party while they're several drinks in, I guess I'm just not built like that, just a -100/10 experience for me.

@DaemonXII why is it dangerous. Is it because it tastes good?

So... any thoughts on the new Chainsaw Man ending?

ezioenthusiast

this message may be offensive
@DaemonXII It just simply fucking sucks man. It’s garbage. Part 2 was for nothing. Zero conclusion, zero themes, zero character arcs, nothing. Super lazy ending. Chainsaw Man’s been feeling off for 2 years but fuck man. I expected more. I hope it’s an April fools joke because this shit fucking stinks.

Fujimoto managed to make people hate an ending where Power and Nayuta are back. Fucking clown of a writer if this is real.

@VoidReaderXXII I'll be upfront and say I'm not too sure how to feel about the ending, it's really just got me in a whole state of confusion right now. I can't say I hated it or liked it because I have no idea how to feel about it, it just has me dazed. And I'm not a big fan of the whole 'world reset' and 'it was all a dream'. Essentially everything that happened from the start of part one to the ending of part two was for nothing, every death, every action, every choice, all of it was for nothing. And there was SOOOO many side plots that were left unanswered, like seriously. I wish we could've gotten a bit more on Quanxi's backstory, possibly an origin story. I really was clinging to the hope that Reze would return for some reason and help out, but no. Oh, and maybe the main question I've been asking myself about the world of Chainsaw Man, WHY DO DEVILS EVEN EXIST ON EARTH AND WHAT'S THE STORY BEHIND IT?! I mean seriously, we're still left with SOOO many questions and this is the ending he gives us? What was the point of all of this? Because now Denji finds himself in a new world and even then that world sucks, devils still exist and kill people, he's most likely still suffering from his heart condition and will probably die soon. And don't even get me started on Asa's character, we witnessed and read her entire life, from childhood to where she is now. And Fujimoto basically just swept her aside and made her entire arc and character for nothing. Even after several hours the ending just... I don't know, I really don't know how to feel about it. It was just... I don't know...

@DaemonXII To me, it felt like a sour taste in my mouth; all of Denji and Asa's character development was gone, and now Denji has no idea who she is at all. We also have no idea, like, characters like Quanxi and her girls? Where's Kishibe been this entire time? Is Aki alive? and so on. And the thing that made me question is, why did Pochita off himself? I felt there would be more consequences to this, but it didn't, although it essentially rendered all the laws of the CSM. We also see that Denji still has Pochita's heart. In my opinion, it felt like Tatsuki Fujimoto was burned out from the series and just made the ending to please Power and Nayuta fans, giving an ending that mentions the characters who died, but only three major characters. At the end, I just hope there's a part three to just answer questions that have been missing and give closure for some characters. At the end, it was mid-core, in my opinion.

OH MY GOD!!! OH MY GOD!!!

CHAINSAW MAN SEASON 2 IS COMING!!!

          AHHHHH!!! I'M LITERALLY FREAKING OUT!!!

Not only are we gonna get possibility the coolest and most peak arc of Chainsaw Man animated, but we're getting all the characters that come with it AHHHH!!!

Just think about it, Santa Claus and the Doll Devil. The three immortal brothers. QUANXI AND HER GIRLFRIENDS AHHHH!!!

I'm genuinely most excited for Quanxi's character and her girlfriends. Quanxi is by far one my top five favorite characters in all of Chainsaw Man, and I wished we could've gotten more of a background on her character, like who she was before becoming the bow hybrid and her origin as a complete. And despite her character having a bit of controversy, she's still one of my favorite characters, after all they do live in a really messed up world where devils just slaughter humans as a norm, who cares what she does in her private time, right?

And last but not least... The Darkness Devil.

Holllllyyyyyyy, bro this arc is gonna be so PEAK.

Hell, I'd even say Chainsaw Man is gonna get ANIME OF THE FREAKING YEAR WITH SEASON 2!!!

I just really do hope they do everything right and take their time with the animations, but what am I saying, it's Mappa, these guys have never failed us before, and they're not gonna fail us now.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share something that's been on my mind, though I'm a bit nervous about posting it. I'd love to hear your thoughts on a potential Kishibe x Quanxi fanfic.

Before anyone responds, I want to be clear: I know Quanxi is canonically a lesbian, and I completely respect that. I'm also aware that some people might find this ship uncomfortable, and that's totally valid.

Here's how I see fanfiction: it's a space where fans create alternative stories and interpretations of existing worlds. These stories aren't canon and aren't meant to override or disrespect the source material, they're just creative explorations.

With that in mind, here's why this pairing interests me:

From what we know, Kishibe and Quanxi worked together in Public Safety for several years (some fans estimate around nine years). The fact that Quanxi stayed despite Kishibe's persistent advances suggests she at least respected him as a colleague and partner.

I've seen comments saying they had no chemistry, but I disagree. Kishibe clearly cared deeply for Quanxi, even after repeated rejections. And while Quanxi is incredibly difficult to read, stoic and emotionally guarded, I think there's room to interpret that she cared for him too, in her own reserved way.

That said, I genuinely want to hear your perspectives. If this concept makes you uncomfortable, please let me know honestly. I'm here for respectful discussion, not drama.

VoidReaderXXII

@DaemonXII I realize my response is late, but I genuinely like your idea. It is natural to feel nervous, but as a writer, you should trust your instincts. Seeking feedback is valuable, and since this is your own work, you have every right to pursue it. Follow your heart and do not let anyone discourage you.

@Gthr333 Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and share this with me! It honestly means the world to hear that the story kept you that engaged, the fact that you'd wake up and jump right back in is exactly the kind of reaction every writer dreams about.
I really appreciate your trust and understanding about where I'm taking things. I want to assure you that Quanxi will absolutely stay canonically lesbian in Heavenly. That's core to who she is, and I have no intention of changing that. Respecting the essence of these characters, especially something as fundamental as Quanxi's identity, is really important to me.
Thanks again for giving the fic a chance and for being so thoughtful in your message. It genuinely made my day, and I hope you continue to enjoy where the story goes!

@DaemonXII I’m a new reader of yours, just found your fic last week and just sped through it because it was so well written. Like I genuinely fell asleep reading it then once I woke up I’d continue right where I left off. All that to say that I think you have what it takes to believably pull it off. Like you said this is fan fiction, as long as you’re not disrespectful about Quanxi canonically being a lesbian it’s fine with me personally. Though I do hope she stays queer in Heavenly.

Currently working on chapter 68, and I can say the chapter will drop tommorow, but then a thought came to my mind.

"What universe or series should I make a fanfic from when I eventually finish Heavenly?"

This had me excited and the possibilities were endless, I enjoy and watch, read a lot of other shows, series and books. But there's two series I'd really like to get into.

And my first would be Star Wars, more specifically during the Clone Wars era, I absolutely LOVED the movies and the Clone Wars show and it would be awesome to insert an original character into that vast universe.

And my second choice would be Jujutsu Kaisen, but I'll be completely honest, despite watching the anime and trying to read the manga... I have absolutely no idea how cursed energy works or techniques , all I know is that Jujutsu Kaisen is an anime where a secretive and chosen selected few are given powers and then are dispatched to eliminate cursed spirits, that's all I know

But other than that what would be some other series you'd like to see from me?

RedMousez

@DaemonXII tbh if you cook this much with csm fic, a jjk fic literally can't go wrong. If you're willing to write some games fic or stuff, I'd definitely recommend elden ring cause of the amount of absolutely perfect lore it has. But at the end just make the one you enjoy writing the most ❤️

@Piplup0716 I did, and I absolutely loved it! The cinematography, the soundtrack, the action scenes and the dialogue, everything about it was amazing! And I can't wait for season 2 of Chainsaw Man!!!

We're now reaching a point in Heavenly where MAJOR alternating changes will happen, but before we get to that I'd like to see you're outcomes for Kenji's future after he finally is able to leave Shitara, because he will eventually leave. But before we reach that point I'd like to see you're guy's personal theories and ideas on how he'll turn out after leaving Shitara, and that of the town's fate and the friends he's with right now.

RedMousez

@DaemonXII so my theory for shitara is that either the village will get massacred entirely, and considering the relations he built their with aiko and that granddaughter, he'll get traumatised. Though I really hope not
Reply

DaemonXII

@RedMousez Interesting, I love seeing you're own version of events and comparing them to my own. It's definitely gonna be PEAK, I already got it all planned out, but I will say this... when Kenji is eventually able to leave Shitara, nothing will ever be the same aftet that...
Reply

RedMousez

I’m guessing you’ll traumatize him again before leaving (sources are the replies to my comment btw) so when he gets out maybe he’ll try to be more protective towards someone like Asa maybe? Plus I’m guessing he’ll get mad or sum when yoru gets her body. Or maybe kenji will get more unhinged or sum. I mean he saw his teacher get shot like 50 times. what I do know is that it’s gonna be PEAK
