It's a poison I've always loved the taste of, 
Addicting, Enticing, Dangerous, Painful.
This bitter-sweet, sparking emotion cutting,
thousands of cuts across my flesh,
Making the wound deeper and deeper, 
time making it scab over until a pinch of salt,
the nick of a knife, is added once more.

Love is a funny thing, I adore, it's a poison I can't escape, the  addiction too much to escape.
