I appreciate you explaining your thoughts and I apologize for my first response, it was harsher than it should’ve been, I guess I took your first comment a little too personally so I really apologize
Yes, Jiwon’s the one making the first step in this redemption arc and I do plan on working on this more in s2 because I feel like there’ll be more time (since well… suho’s in a coma and sieun is going to eunjang)
I just always wanted to have a redemption arc in this story because I feel like Jiwon’s backstory is just perfect for it
With everything that happened with Aecha and the girls (ofc no redemption arc for them), I just thought it was a great parallel because Jiwon will never forgive the girls yet she struggles with the memories of their past friendship, which is definitely the hardest for her. Not the scars, maybe the fights but really it’s that they were best friends and that it all shattered
@yeonsuho no problem. I understand i must have seemed like a troll haha. I guess im fine now with the redemption cuz u plan to expand on it. At the time i was like huh jiwon forguves her just like that? But i appreciate u hearing me out
Ofc it’ll be Yujin’s job to redeem herself and who knows if she’ll make it happen in the canon ending (in the alternate ending I’m working on with Wooyoung being the love interest, Yujin will already be Jiwon’s friend so we won’t see the redemption arc in this, sorry but it takes place yeaaaars after s1 and 2 so yeah) but I just like the dynamic of relationships and what they can reveal about peoples’ personalities
I like that Jiwon was broken so many times, that her trust was betrayed and yet she keeps seeing the good in people, whether it’s in fragments of personalities or just recognizing talent.
like to be fair if I was Jiwon I wouldn’t even give Yujin the time of day but I think it’s interesting that Jiwon doesn’t just ignore her, that she acknowledges the passion they both share for the same thing and has the ability to see Yujin has some kind of talent, that Jiwon can seek revenge but she can also seek peace before things go too far. Because she knows about badly things can become and maybe jiwon does too much of the work but is it so bad to remain good all the time? Idk I just like that my OC doesn’t give antagonist energy (even if she could definitely go crazy and has multiple times in the past)
but yeah obviously redemption arcs demand a lot of work and character development but I like the challenge and it won’t be done overnight
