Hey everyone, I’m sad to say there won’t be a new chapter for Crimson Edition this week like I hoped.

Balancing work, college, this fanfic, and my other hobbies has been difficult without taking a toll on my mental health. On top of that, my dad is currently going through physical therapy, so I’m focusing my time and energy on supporting him first and foremost. Altogether, it's hard to stay motivated to write right now.

I also struggle with writing fight scenes. It’s challenging to convey the flow of a battle clear enough to visualize while still maintaining a steady pace.
That said, I’m happy with what I have in the current draft so far, so I’m not losing hope.

I truly apologize to everyone that's eager to continue reading, your support truly means a lot to me after all. When it’s ready, I promise it’ll be worth it. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

@Daimao372 Sorry for asking, but how have you been doing?

@NeloCyborgZero Thank you for the kind words. I'm happy to say my dad is getting better day by day, but he's not in the clear just yet. As for everything else, I'll keep it to heart. For now, I'll remain firm to my previous point that next chapter is going to be worth the wait. Thanks for the reply, have a great rest of your day!

@Daimao372 I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through. We all have our own struggles and busy schedules, so we understand. I also respect that you’re choosing to help your dad. Family is really important.

And please take your time. Not just for writing and posting chapters, but also for everything else going on in your life. You don’t have to set a schedule that you need to follow. Find your own pace that you can keep up with. We will be patiently waiting.

P.S. I struggle with writing fight scenes as well. I just watch other fight scenes to hopefully learn on how to describe my own. All I can say from what I’ve learned, is that it takes time and practice. And I believe that you can do it.

Hey everyone. Chapter 3 for Crimson Edition has been written, and it'll be the biggest chapter so far. All that remains to be done are the final touches and the proofreading.

It'll be a lot of work still, so I'm thinking the publish time will either be tomorrow at 12 P.M. CDT, or Saturday at 12 P.M. CDT.

Furthermore, I will be releasing my review book around the same time. If you haven't yet, I recommend taking a look at the most recent announcement in the Lost Faunus book for more information if it piqued your interest.

That's all for right now. Thanks for taking the time to read this, have a great day!

Hey everyone!

Chapter 2 is done, right now I'm just adding some final touches and proofreading to look for any spelling or grammar mistakes. The chapter will be released tomorrow at 12 P.M. CDT, so keep an eye out for it if you're interested.

I don't exactly have a publishing schedule just yet, and I don't want to make one with a strict commitment, so for right now I want to aim for a chapter every 1-2 weeks. Of course, because I have college and work, I know it may exceed that time frame. If it does, I promise I will give updates so I don't leave everyone in the dark.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hey everyone, long time no see! Before anyone asks, no, I didn't lose my password.

I'm happy to announce that I've finally finished the first chapter of my new RWBY fanfic, RWBY: Crimson Edition. The first chapter will be published today at 8:00 A.M. CST, so keep an eye out for it.

Honestly, I'm just glad I managed to sit down and write something again, so for once this announcement actually means something instead of wasting your time.

As for the announcements I made previously, you can go ahead and disregard them if you haven't already done so. Time, work, college, and shifting interests all caught up with me yet again, and because of that, I don't think I'll be writing a Doki Doki Literature Club fanfic anytime soon. That said, I won't completely rule it out. If it ever happens, it'll be when the timing and motivation are right.

For now, though, my focus is on RWBY: Crimson Edition, and I hope you all enjoy the first chapter.

I have an update on my DDLC book, but before I get to that I just wanna say I'm pleasantly surprised that The Lost Faunus got about 2k reads ever since I republished the chapters. I know what I already said about that book, but thank you anyway!

Anyway, here's an update. Originally I was going to continue the DDLC book from where I left off, but I'm going to be honest and say I'm dissatisfied of how I wrote the existing chapters. They're not bad per say, but I know I can do much better in comparison to 5-6 years ago. So instead, I'm going to use the old chapters as the bases for the new respective chapters. The plan is to write more the scenary, rework and expand the dialogue to make it more natural to read, and actually write as if it's a book and not a play.

Furthermore, I really don't like how I made the chapters 1k-2k words at the time. It's clear to me know that I was more concerned for quanity over quality for the sake of reads, votes, and followers. Now, I just want to release good quality chapters for everyone's enjoyment.

To end this on a good note, as of right now I have at least 1.5k words on the prologue... and if you use the old prologue as a reference, I'm not even past writing the breakfast scene yet. It's going to take a while, but I promise it'll be worth the wait.

My goal is to release this chapter before January. Preferably I would've said it'll be out in two weeks, but I have college finals to focus on. Regardless, I have high hopes of the chapter being published sooner than later.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I wish you all a fantastic day.

So quick question to any of my DDLC followers. I've been thinking about starting over on my DDLC book (which isn't a big deal considering I only have like 2-3 chapters lol) but I'm stumped on whether to make it a completely wholesome story or to have more story elements from game in it... and no need to worry, I'm not going to add any fourth wall breaking moments or anything of the sort, I would like to have some sort of realism within the book after all. When I say "elements", I basically mean the same dark elements that made DDLC a beloved game for its fans. Now I understand this will transition away from how I made the book originally, but I want the book to appeal to both the self-insert readers and the veteran fans alike. I'll think more about this on my own, but at the very least I would like to hear your opinion.

@Daimao372 add those elements. Makes the entire flow be more interesting, kinda interested in stories where they focus more on the self development

@Daimao372 add some story elements in it, too much sugar is bad for health
