Has anyone ever thought about how weird it is that in Blake and Weiss's argument in Volume 1 Weiss outright accuses the White Fang of wanting to kill off humanity and Blake's only defense is to insist they are just misguided? Then again, she also insists they wouldn't be doing the exact thing she left them for already doing.
          	She doesn't even deny the accusation of intending genocide even as she insists that simple thievery is something they wouldn't stoop to.

          	Honestly, a lot of the White Fang stuff just doesn't add up or contradicts itself as time goes on. And Blake also was weirdly hypocritical and possibly even subtly racist herself towards humans herself but it never gets really focused on and the writers even consider her the most mature member of the team. Blake insists Weiss is just a racist brat, ignores her genuine points and grievances to focus on the worst of her, and made comments such as referring to humanity as "your kind' to Ozpin.

          	Wouldn't it have been cool if instead the show had explicitly set up and called Blake out on subconsciously having a mindset of good and oppressed faunus versus cruel and oppressive humans and made a point of how oppressed groups and minorities can be genuinely bigoted themselves and that some people don't even realize their own prejudices?

I'm sorry if all I'm about to say is sudden since this might be a different person since It's been a while since I used DMs on twitter and I can't look to see who all I responded too on there anymore. So, I have to do it this way.

          Basically I just want to say that, if you're someone I might have chatted with on Discord, I may no longer have it due to some trouble I'm having trying to log back into it.

When are you going to update the story

Dakenistaire

@Brianmoralesaguilar
            I've honestly been meaning to for a long time. I just have ADHD and a bad tendency to get distracted by other things, and then a weekend turns into a week turns into a month.
            It's a really bad habit I need to work on.

            I'm going to try and get work done on the rewrite this weekend and set up a writing schedule to keep myself on track.

@Brianmoralesaguilar
            I will hopefully get back to writing this weekend.
            I had things like college and other real life stuff that kept me busy and then just forgot about working on Remnants of Blood, but I plan to get back to work on this story soon starting with a rewrite of the first two chapters to fix some weak parts I'm not happy with

I just got done discussing with a crazy person online who says all humans are inherently evil. He told me I was evil too for some demented reason about asking me how many lies I have told in the past.
          He was claiming that all humans are inherently evil and that when I said I had never broken the law or tried to hurt anyone that didn't mean anything.
          I think he was saying that the ability to lie without having a breakdown from guilt is proof that humans are all inherently evil or something. I didn't really try that hard to understand what he was saying.

          I just felt like mentioning it because of how strange and ridiculous it seemed.

            Also, why did you bring Shigaraki up while commenting on a post that has nothing to do with MHA?

Y'know, one thing I've never understood that really frustrates me about RWBY Volume 1 is how Blake's argument with Weiss over the White Fang is treated and how a character flaw of Blake's is never properly addressed or treated as a flaw she needs to overcome.

          The thing is that, despite wanting to fight discrimination and prejudice against faunus, Blake herself is very prejudiced and self-righteous. She gets angry at Weiss for treating Sun like a criminal even though they just saw him illegally stowing away on a boat and running from the police, which does make him look like a criminal. She gets angry at Weiss for calling the White Fang criminals and terrorists despite leaving them for that exact reason, and she ignores how Weiss has been victimized too in favor of calling her a judgemental brat. She thinks the White Fang is better than what they are doing, but she knew they had stolen Dust before so her only issue was that they were working with a human criminal and that somehow makes it worse to her. She also doesn't get mad at Sun, a faunus, badmouthing the White Fang the way she did with Weiss when she insulted the White Fang.

@FrankieMartin9
            I try to welcome argument and discussion over this kind of thing. It helps me understand other perspectives and allows evidence for both sides to be presented so that we can see who has the more convincing argument. And in the end, I try to keep it respectful since I have no right to tell people they are wrong or insult them for having different views and opinions from me.

            i like how you put that argument it was an actual reason not "ur mom gey no u" you genuinely thought about it and let other people respond and talk about it like i said its not a " ur mom gey no u" argument

@Garantha you are correct as well as in the show they really don’t show any racism to faunaus other than Cardin Winchester

I am seriously frustrated and angry right now, and the reason is because of one stubborn idiot who refuses to listen to logic or accept that other people have different opinions from him.

          This one guy called Soarel constantly defends Cinder as being a deep character who is not a power-hungry sadist but in fact wants to free people from Ozpin's manipulations and insists that Salem is actually a benevolent woman who cares deeply about humanity and wants to punish Ozpin for manipulating people and throwing their lives away, conveniently ignoring that those lives were lost fighting her and that the gods literally have Ozpin the mission of opposing Salem or that Cinder has made it blatantly clear that she is in fact a sadist who just wants power so that she can feed her own ego and make others fear her. Soarel also insists that Salem is not controlling the Grimm and that any destruction or lost lives causes by the Grimm attacking Vale and Beacon were all unintended collateral damage that Salem didn't want to happen and cannot be blamed for.
          He says that the lyrics of the song Divide where Salem calls Ozpin's actions cruel are canonical and undeniable proof that Salem is simply trying to punish the evil tyrant that is Ozpin.

FrankieMartin9

@Garantha i agree i think its just that and he's tired he's tired of sending people to die because he wants them to live i believe that his being immortal has just made him tired of everything i believe his plan was to raise ruby to be a fighter because he can feel the end coming he felt it was near with summer thats why she's dead she just wasn't ready to face salem and payed the price ozpin isnt evil just miss led and with the end so close by he's rushing for it he's just an old man who wants nothing more then for it to end so he can finaly rest easy you can hear it in his voice when he says to ironwood "i hope they never have to" he's just tired

@FrankieMartin9
            Exactly. I also think that Ozpin has been fighting for so long without dying that he has started to lose touch with his humanity. He is well-intentioned and fighting for the sake of humanity's survival, but he doesn't care as much about individual humans beyond how they can be used for the good of the rest of humans. He is manipulative and uses others, but he sees them as acceptable losses if the overall gain is the survival of mankind as a whole. He is probably aware of this too, given how he claims to have made more mistakes than anybody alive. He likely regrets leading so many people to their deaths even if they are not as high on his list of priorities as the actual mission they died for, but he still sees it as ultimately for the better and realizes that if he stopped now then those people will have died for nothing.

@Garantha i don't believe oz is evil i just believe he's stuck in his old ways like the old people of nower days they think homosexuality is wrong (its not i just wanna get that out there) its like in the song sacrifice cinder specifically says "all your faith in ancient ways leaves you trapped inside a maze" ozpins misled because huntsman program has worked for so long he's refused to adapt with the times its the same reason america got their asses kicked in nam they didn't adapt to the new fighting style same with the Russians in afghan they used unit tactics on an enemy that was armed and organised but not soldiers they where fighting ghosts and at this point so was ozpin it was so easy for Salem to get to leo because ozpin didn't keep a close enough eye why do you think salem only has 5 pupets but ozpin has all the huntsmen in remnant? its easier to operate with less people they're easier to hide
