Joe Becket is named after a dead priest and a dead playwright; one stabbed to death, the other bludgeoned. Joe is no martyr however, and he firmly believes that he is far from dead. He spends his days on this world appreciating the delightful madness of it all. When he is not imagining dystopian fantasies he enjoys taking naps, wooing the mother of his child, and coming to terms with the bomb.
