Hi everyone! I have a question about the 2026 Watty Awards.
          
          I wrote an original story with my own plot, world, and dialogue, but I used the names of real celebrities as the main characters (it's real person fiction/fanfiction).
          
          My story has been marked as eligible for the Wattys, but I'm unsure whether it's okay to submit because the characters are based on real people.
          
          Has anyone here submitted a similar story to the Wattys before? Were there any issues? Is real person fiction allowed, or should I avoid submitting it?
          
          I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with experience. Thank you!
