Margaret Whittock has lived and worked in Northern Ireland, London, Istanbul, Accra, and the Turks and Caicos Islands, and has travelled around the world. Her experiences have informed much of her writing.  As an academic researcher she has been widely published in academic journals, texts, newspapers and magazines; her PhD, Feminising the Masculine?: Women in Non-Traditional Employment, was published in 2000 and is available on Amazon. 

Margaret has published three ebooks on Amazon: the first, Ghost of Gallipoli, her debut novel, and part of a planned trilogy, was inspired by the chance discovery of her great-uncles' headstones at V Beach Cemetery in Gallipoli. Ghost of Gallipoli is also available in paperback, as a special WW1 Centenary edition. 

Blood Sisters, Margaret's second novel, was inspired by her involvement in gender studies at university, and is now also available on Amazon. 

Margaret has just released her third novel, Unintentional Dismount, available as an ebook on all Amazon sites. This is her first venture into the Young Adult genre. It's hoped that the novel will also be available in paperback by the end of 2015.

Margaret is currently working on Billy Blitz, follow-up to Ghost of Gallipoli, and  the second novel in what will become the Callaghan Trilogy. This is a WW2 novel, based on her father's experiences as a very young man in London at that time. A short story by Margaret, Silver Darlings, has also been published by Dark Hall Press, in its Anthology of Ghost Stories. This too is available on Amazon, both in paperback form, and as an ebook.
