Greetings~
So, I don't know if you're still active, but I read your book, and I honestly feel sympathetic for you. The pressure of parents for a kid to achieve a higher grade has always been such a problematic controversial issue.
I'm not like you—my parents don't pressure me. In fact, it's my own interest to get straight A's. No grades from me is below 90. And not really to boast, but I often am effortless when it comes to academic.
Although, the thing about me is I'm doing this as a way of begging for their affection. While it's not outwardly pressuring, I just know that we're both feeling hopeless when it comes to grades. Your parents wanted you to be 'perfect' so they push you to pursue it, while I wanted to prove something to my parents that will gain their attention. It felt like being leashed as a dog.
On the contrary, though I'm practically a stranger, I would like to thank you for at least going as far as to quit writing for indefinite time to make effort for your academics.
The only thing that I wanted to give as an advice is to do it for yourself. I mean, you can definitely love your parents if you will, but doing something just because someone told you so can very much lead to distasteful outcomes.
That is all. Strive for the better, fellow writer.
