DarkSparx

Good evening,

Unfortunately I am being faced with a difficult decision. I may need to remove my stories (or all but the first three chapter samples) because I have found that my readers have begun supporting the thieves who are reuploading my novels using AI. (The thieves are Shape of Desire on TikTok and Bunnyflick Drama on YouTube)

First it was on Tiktok, now it's on YouTube. Commentors are acknowledging that the story was stolen from me, but still praise the thieves because they've "always wanted it to be a movie."

I no longer feel comfortable providing free content. For now, the novels will remain available to prove I posted them first as I seek legal action .

To those who have kept me informed and supported me, thank you.

To those who are supporting the thieves just because you wanted a visual story, I am severely dissapointed in you.

@DarkSparx that's horrible I'm sorry people are doing that to you. Are you planning on publishing your work as paperbacks? I would absolutely purchase them

Fake ass fans fr, who tf supports stolen content. You are completely in the right and i hope everything works out. I love your work and hope that you get enough rest during these stressful events. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

If you decide to take them down, will you upload them to a website that users can pay you to read them?

@DarkSparx To be honest I found out about your stories from a drawn story telling of "And then there were more" and which i came and read many other of your stories. Fuck AI and I'm glad I read the stories rather than watching them.

Hi @DarkSparx! I'm really sorry to hear about this, and I agree with you entirely. I honestly despise AI in all its forms, however the air it's taking up in creative art and writing spaces is perhaps one of its worst offences in my opinion.
I completely understand the need to protect your work, but I was just wondering if you're on patreon or AO3? I'm not entirely familiar with their workings, but from what I understand you can put paywalls of any amount to keep people from endlessly scraping open work. Just wondering because I would love to continue reading your stuff (I particularly love second time's the charm) and would be happy to pay for access. Sorry if I'm out of step and it's old news that you have such accounts! I didn't find any obvious info about it.

Thats actually ridiculous. I honestly would support putting it through a paywall.. because your stories both deserve it and because that pisses me tf off

I always try to notify authors when I come across stolen content. Someone taking another persons work and profiting off of it is disgusting. And like you said “fans” supporting the theft because they wanted to see a visual adaptation proves they aren’t actually fans. I was the one that sent you the message about Bunnyflick and as soon as I caught on about it being your story I thought it was sad and honestly the part I watched while trying to figure out who’s book it was didn’t do it justice. You’re an amazingly talented author and I hope you get justice.

damn, that's awful. I totally appreciate your need to protect your art.
Happy to say I have neither looked for or found any thefts.

Whilst that could mean I and other fans can't read your wonderful writing here, those persons stealing someone else's work will inevitably discourage writers. Your response is therefore vital for those of us who have benefited as your readers.
Best wishes, hugs, and please look after yourself.

@hstylesgurl oops should've been ! instead of ? on sorry to hear that 🤦‍♀️

@DarkSparx That's horrible! I am so sorry to hear that? Will you be keeping your followers informed here about where the stories may move to? I've come across several authors that have deleted their stories entirely and just went dark and I think that is such a shame when the stories are so good, authors so talented and readers love the books.

I find that truly horrible for you. I hope you can get some retribution. I believe AI is going to kill creativity, not just by making people lazy, but mostly by disillusioning the true artist.

I'm so sorry this is happening, I had already reported the acct on tiktok before but for some reason tiktok stated it wasn't violating any guidelines. I'll try reporting again and will also help report the one on YouTube, I think YouTube takes these things more seriously.

i_live_in_your_walls

@i_live_in_your_walls also for to death do us part, is it possible for you to still complete the book here and maybe give us a small grace period to read and then take it down? If you don't that's fine I won't blame you but I just wanted to know

What a horrible thing for them to do. Your works are amazing and I reread them regularly. You craft stories with heart and plot that thieves cannot understand. Good luck with getting them taken down.

Lisa15559

What?!? That is beyond despicable. That is disrespectful and I hope you can sue them and can get compensation since it is theft. I absolutely loathe people who try to to profit from someone else's labour.

I’ m not a writer. I honestly don’t like it. I love reading and I am a fan of your work.

If you are ever the one who’s stuff was stolen you might understand how violating it is. Everyone protect his/her/them personal space. And if you are a decent person you should respect it.

            I m rooting for you.

@DarkSparx Hi hi
I'm sorry that happened to you
The same thing happened with one of my fanfics about a year ago
Report them on youtube under copyright and make sure to link every account you have where the book you've written is posted. Do the same on tiktok and get your fans to do the same
The more reports the more likely they are to take it down. Also if they claim you gave them permission make sure to say that you have never given any verbal or written confirmation for them to use your content in any form

I’m sorry dear….I’ve read most of your books and all I can say is that you are a fantastic writer…I don’t watch AI films

@DarkSparx that is so messed up. i hope you can get those accounts taken down. i'll report them

@DarkSparx Hi hi
Same thing happened to me a while back with one of my fanfics.
You can report them and link your wattpad and stuff to the report to better help your case. If you didn't give permission it's copyright infringement so Youtube will take it down the same of tiktok.

Sorry you’ve had to deal with all that. It must be a really horrible feeling. For what it’s worth, these AI films will never be as good as the original material. The way you’ve written your stories has always been so beautiful to me and I fall in love with all your characters. If you ever publish a physical book, or do an ebook for Amazon, I would love to purchase them.

I just want to say thank you for not taking down any of your works. I reread them each year. These have become some of the old faithfuls in my reading list. I know that through the years when authors change platforms or drop their least successful ones they tend to delete works and sometimes old accounts as well. So thank you for writing such incredible stories that keep people coming back years later.

Lynn0883

Not sure if you’ll see this but someone on YouTube stole Bonding With the Enemy and made an AI movie off of it. Name of channel is @BunnyFlickDrama and is most likely profiting off of it from the amount of views it’s gotten (over 140k).

Lynn0883

@Serah_2025 it really is crazy how much stolen content there is out there and how many authors are now discouraged from being able to share their work for fear of others benefiting off of them. There has to be a better way to stop it from happening or harsher penalties. They should be mandated to pay back any profit to the original author not just be told to take it down.
Responder

DarkSparx

Thank you for the heads up. It looks like they stole the already stolen AI video from TikTok and reposted it. I've left a few comments and a warning to the creator. TikTok did nothing so Im worried Youtube will do the same.

@Lynn0883 this Ai bs is getting out of hand they literally stole stories from hard worker author
I found similar case with 2 AI BL short drama on YouTube too
