Hoho Marry (almost) Christmas! But, I have noticed when we were children our parents didn't properly tell us the truth about the man that comes down the chimney. So I wrote a letter to my little brother ( how do I write like I'm running out of time). Here's what I wrote:
Dear Malachi,
You asked a very important question to Mom and me yesterday " is Mom and Dad really Santa?" You asked me . We know that you want to know the answer, and we had to give a careful thought to know what to say.
The answer is no. We are not Santa. There is no one, single Santa. We are the people who fill your stockings and choose and wrap the presents under the tree( dad helps too), just as mom and dad did and there parents and one day you'll do it for your kids. Hopefully.
This can't make any of us Santa, though. Santa is lots and lots of people who keeps the spirit of Christmas alive. He lives in our hearts, not the North Pole. Santa is the magic and love and spirit of giving to others. What he does is teach children to believe something they can't see or touch. Though-out your life you will need this capability to believe: in yourself, in your family, in your friends, and God.
You'll need to be able to believe in things you can't measure or hold in your hands. Now you know the secret of how he gets down all of those chimneys on Christmas Eve: he has help from all of the people whose heart he filled with joy.
With full hearts, people like Me, Mommy and Daddy take our turns helping Santa do a job that would otherwise be impossible.
So no, Mom, Dad, and Me aren't Santa. Santa is love and magic and hope hand happyness. We are on hi team, and now so are you. We love you and we always will.
Love,
You're bug sister, Mom, and Dad
