To all the authors here,
Why is it such a fashion of female protagonists being as young as 19 or even under ? ( not even talking about teen stories, males have considerable age gap )
I'm not against it, but why is it such a norm here?

@Dash1098 wow 12-14 is a reallly young age for the kinds of books are here. But I've seen mature authors as well.. it's just that I get that we get lost in a book, but when we look back and see all this has happened with such a young girl.. The kinds of plot they choose for them, unbelievable. And my main problem is with main lead's age difference. I don't mind teenage romances, or even this age gap thing, but not in every other book.

@Dash1098 i think it’s because a lot of the audience here is of younger girls. i’m 16 and i return to wattpad occasionally when i have nothing else to read lol but most of the audience is between the age range of 12 to 14.
