I wrote my fiction story in 2000, created as fanfiction, when reality TV was brand new and queer visibility in pop culture was almost nonexistent. Twenty-five years later, I wanted to rewrite - as a challenge to myself. I am very pleased the the results. I hope that readers will be as well.

The Real World Hanson

Written in a time before influencers, in the early days of reality TV as we now know it. This story explores themes of surveillance, privacy, media manipulation, and what it meant to be a closeted teenager in the year 2000.
