hey guys, I've been thinking about writing a story but I'm not sure if I should write a original story or a pokemon fan fic please give me some feedback

The original story is about how in the future humans evolve based on where their profession, pilots grow wings, scuba divers grow gills ect. and then a dark lord decides that its a pretty good time to take over the world
The fan-fic is about when the albino son of the renowned Professor Willow goes against his fathers will and goes on his pokemon journey in the completely boring and unimpressive Auran region.
