          Buying flowers, giving chocolates or sending cards may be a waste of time, money, and effort. That may be true, but those sweet sentiments will give lasting memories that will linger long after this day is over.
          
          It's not bad to celebrate alone either. You can never be alone, because you will always have books and fictional characters who will never leave your side.
