Some day I will write a novel. Some day. In the mean time, I am a venture capitalist and occasional professor.
I come from a house of avid readers. My brother reads classics for the fun of it when he isn't reading nonfiction works about the esophagus. My sister reads children's books ... for a living. My mother reads everything (except for the stuff she doesn't and my dad reads that). My wife reads any book about Paris or the Holocaust or, better still, about Paris during the Holocaust.
Despite my family's love affair with books, I don't read much. I suppose it has something to do with my dyslexia. And something to do with my lack of free time. But every time I dig into a book, I am reminded of the joy of a well-written story.
Thanks to all the story-tellers out there.
