Congratulations to everyone who submitted for the ONC 2026 this year! Unfortunately, this year, I have decided to turn The Last Love Song of Charlotte Moreau into a short novel due to not being able to wrap things up as neatly as I would like. The story deserves a full arc and not a rushed one. The path to completion of my story should be around mid June- early July. Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive of my journey with this story. The reads and comments mean so much to me as I made my full return to Wattpad.

          	And also on other news!

I have started rewriting Ravensdale entirely. And I know, I know. It's another rewrite, but I realized over the almost year long hiatus that I have set my story in the wrong region entirely. If you don't know, when I first started writing the original version of this story, the location had been New Orleans. New York and England are no longer. And that is because I set the story entirely in Louisiana. And as soon as I did that, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING made sense. I will not be rewriting this story any further. As you all may or may not know. I consider myself a Louisiana native so you will definitely see the true me, the true setting throughout all of this. If you do not want to come back to my story, I understand entirely.
But if you do want to feel the magic that is being set up here, New Orleans and the nearby region is the best place for this kind of story. There is one chapter up and it is the same story, I promise. There will be mild cultural differences but the story is the same at its heart.

i'm happy to hear you're all right after the hiatus! ^-^ i'm glad you are returning as well. and that your experience has been good. :D

ooh, so nice to hear you finally figured out something you were to stuck on in Ravensdale. i relatable how difficult those things can be to fix sometimes within a story. it takes so much time and trying so many different solutions.

Hi there, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed The Last Love Song Of Charlotte Moreau.

I’ll write comments as part of the book club but I totally agree with you that it deserves a wider arc than a novella. Really looking forward to seeing how it develops in the future.

I spent most of my childhood playing music and it’s still a big part of my life - wonderful to see a story that really understands its power.

@edmundkeanlightning Thank you so much for your insightful comments! I agree about the novella thing. I had one aspect that needed to be in the story and taking that out for pacing would affect the story greatly.

I have been in music for pretty much my whole life. Thank you for your comments about music! I play the piano and the flute and I love stories about music!

I've decided to drop Linger out of the ONC. TLLSoCM has demanded all of my time and energy and is being so much louder.

I will certainly work on Linger for sure as Linger is connected to the Fontaine universe. I will continue writing the story but not at the right tempo to keep up with the contest. So it has slow updates for now.

With that being said, I will be submitting for round 2 soon with Charlotte's story! After I make some last proofreading and grammar edits, it will be submitted.

Hi, everyone!

I am pleased to say that my two ONC entries Linger and The Last Love Song of Charlotte Moreau have made it past round one in the ONC! They are both set in the general setting of my fictional town of Fontaine, Louisiana (which is modeled after real-life towns within the Northshore region of metro New Orleans).

You do not have to read them in order either. One is set in 1897 (with flashbacks) and the other is set in 1992 (also with some flashbacks).

Just thought I would give a quick life update to everyone who still follows me on here.

I have not given up on Ravensdale. In fact, I will most likely resume writing it in 2026! The writer's group that I'm part of has noticed some issues with the current story and so I'm thinking I'm going to rewrite the setting. All the dialogue, plot, action -- will all be the same but the setting will be changed for plot purposes.

However, I've been working really hard on my new story Midnight Sonata, which is a rewrite of One Midnight -- the ONC novella wrote in 2024. I'm in act two. It's going to be a very ambitious story. I knew it going into the ONC and finishing the book that this story needed to be a novel and now it is. The plot has been rewritten entirely. And I'm ok with that. The original story, well, was rough. And after some time, I decided I wasn't happy with it. I've been working on this novel version since September and I'm really happy with how it's turning out and that I'm going with my gut and letting the characters tell the story. I don't know if I'll post it on Wattpad -- I think I may try the publishing road with this one. But we'll see!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving for those who celebrated this past week.

Hi!

I hope you don’t mind me posting this, but I wrote my first book called Shifters. It would mean a lot to me if you had the time to check it out! It’s a fantasy romance book about a human girl named Esmara. She lives in a world that is ruled by seven kinds of shifters, and she is mated to one. My first book is mostly focused on werewolves but will delve deeper into the other shifters over time. Check my profile for more info. I hope you want to give it a try! :)

I asked my readers to write down their reviews in the last couple of chapters. You can read them first if you prefer :) Here are a few:

"This book is one of the most well written here in Wattpad. I loved it sooo much. Your writing is so beautiful honestly!!" -Reliverelove

"(....) Honestly, it’s one of the best werewolf stories I’ve read: the plot, the writing, and the characters are all amazing (....)" -Eastis

"I WOULD SELL MY SOUL TO READ IT AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME" -_Rxflwsome
