General update.
Not much has changed, which I am sorry for. This message is more about accountability (if I tell you my plan, I'm more likely to do it) and transparency (so you don't think I've forgotten you).
Whatever the reason for my lack of updates, whether it is inspiration or personal/mental difficulties, I want to reiterate that I will not abandon my stories. They will get finished... eventually. I just can't put a time frame on it. Believe me when I say that my inability to give you new chapters hurts me deeply. I think about it often, and yet the page stays blank, the words don't reach my fingertips.
I think there are a few problems with the way I have been going about writing. One, I don't plan my stories at all. Without an end or goal in sight, I don't know what I am aiming towards. My plan moving forward is to plan out my unfinished stories so that I know what I need to write to finish them. This may lead to stories being shorter than you hoped. Two, quantity. I have many ideas, I get excited to share them with you, and I love writing the beginning of stories. However, this stretches me too thin by working on 20 stories at the same time. Five years ago, when I started An Indescribable Feeling, I updated without fail every week and did so for two years. The aim is to get back to that sort of consistency.
However, I am working to reactivate my ability to write by participating in Novel November with ProWritingAid. The challenge is to write every day and reach 50,000 words by the end of November. Hopefully, this will ignite my creativity and passion for writing again (and maybe you'll get a new story)!
Thank you for your continued patience. I hope you will all still be here when I start updating again. (The soonest I would expect this is in the new year, but if things go to plan, then updates will be regular from then on.)
Also, thank you to those leaving comments as they read (for the first or nth time). I love reading them and really appreciate it!
