I Just did an entire analysis out of nowhere about MDZS for like..... no apparent reason now I want to rant so....
          
          There are so many things in MDZS that could have been avoided before the first siege on the wen remnants, Like I've seen in other fanfics about MDZS but I don't think that they realized it or maybe they did; I have no clue of what goes on in a writer's head. Couldn't Wei Wuxian have just pulled up to Gusu Lan or the Nie clan and just showed them that the people he saved were all elders, farmers, women, and children, because no matter how hard-headed Nie Mingjue is I highly doubt that he would go murdering innocents like the Jins and not only that but we also have the literal headshaker (Nie Huaisang) and Lan Wangji but mainly Lan Wangji as he has been there multiple times and Nie Huaisang is a literal genius. Also the stuff about the golden core, the meridans were still intact so he could have developed a new core as his wasn't destroyed by the core-crushing hand but instead surgically removed so he didn't have to keep using resentful energy after the war. plus in my opinion, if Wei Wuxian didn't tell Jiang Cheng  to keep his mouth shut then Jiang Cheng would have probably spilled everything one way or another, I mean if I remember right his anger towards Wei Wuxian is what led the truth about the transfer come out. Also another random thought but if Lan Qiren put aside the resentment he had for Wei Wuxian's mother and only saw Wei Wuxian for what he was ( a curious and mischievious child) then later in the book a lot of stuff wouldn't have happened too. 
          
          ok I'm done with my rant and it probably doesn't even make sense so sorry about that.
