@Dayomi_ everything you said is correct. Which is why it’s very frustrating to read fanfications about him in general, it’s so annoying to see him being genuinely happy by the female reader, like no fam, sit down please lol. But there’s nothing, or anything decent out there to read about him, I guess we are stuck reading all of that. 

@MistreffTiff- It really is hard not to feel enormously sad for Dazai. I mean, up until now BSD has kind of been about that; about finding a reason to live and strive for more(or at least, that's what it often talks about), which makes me want to hope for a bit of luck for Dazai, but I too think that he's condemned and that, unfortunately, he won't really ever find anything to fill that void inside of him. We have to admit though, it's not like he doesn't feel or care at a 100%(or at least, he's still trying to), since that's made (at least sort of) clear during Oda's death scene. Personally there doesn't seem to be much hope for Dazai, but one can always try, and I hope he'll keep on trying to be human as long as he can. He may even succeed, who knows, but knowing how the real Dazai ended up I, although reluctantly, doubt so... I really would like to see this boi feel like/ be the human for once too. Also yeah, I agree with what you said what with his personalties and being lost in life, or how just his existence is a sin or that he's completely lost and it's just really disheartening.  Basically, poor Dazai can't do but try, while still attempting to finally put it all to end, which is really sad to see, and a pitififul way of "living".

@Dayomi_ overall his character intrigued me, and so is the actual Dazai Osamu, which I’ll be getting his book No longer human soon because *cough*. I do genuinely feel extremely sad for Dazai, that he has no essence of hope within him anymore whatsoever, I kinda hoped that he will strive more to find a meaning, a purpose or just something to fill the void within him, just keep striving to find meaning for his life for a bit longer considering his young age but i understand his situation tbh, living 22 years without being able to feel anything is basically asking for death. Personally, I really hate to think about this but I just can’t help that he was fated to die, like his very existence in life is just a sin which is absolutely upsetting. I really hoped that there will be part in the anime where he will find something that will help him with his problem, even if it’s just for few seconds — idc, I just want my boi to be actual human for once. Even worse, it’s so obvious that everything about him is utterly fake. Think about it, he’s, as a person has no actual personality whatsoever. If anything, I believe his current/previous personas was probably created based on the books he probably read before. It’s so evident how he doesn’t know what he wants to be as a person and how he wants to operate. It just really sad to see someone who’s very lost in life and that’s exactly what’s he is and it’s even sadder to see him incapable of solving a case as a detective or with his unbelievable  brain, which is the emptiness within him.
