It's been a while since I've checked in here. I am so busy these days especially the year is coming to an end soon.

          Also, I have so many pending plots or drafts but couldn't manage my time to start writing and/or making book covers again. I miss writing though. Adulting...*sigh*

I'm starting a new short story and I'm torn between writing it in English or Filipino. I've never written in Filipino before, and I think it would be a different but fun challenge. :D

It has been a while since I got a reader of my short stories and it truly made my day. Thank you, dear reader. <3
          
          Should I start writing a new one again?

We drove to our favorite tapsilogan we discovered back in high school. We usually ate here after training with our old teammates. I haven’t been here in a long time. Looking around, nothing much seems to have changed. I saw our usual table was free so I made my way there while Javi went to give our order.
          
          “Tol, ilang rounds?” Javi asked from the counter.
          
          “Dalawa tapos samahan mo na ng Coke.”
          
          This tapsi is a gift from the heavens. Plus, I haven’t eaten a meal since breakfast so this feels like a well-deserved reward for making it through this day.

Javi and I have been inseparable for as long as I can remember. They used to live next door so we were always in each other’s houses. Even though we are cousins, I consider him to be my brother. We were even regularly confused for being twins. After high school, their family had to relocate because of his parents’ jobs but we made sure to still keep in touch.
          
          “Santi, catch!”
          
          “Huh, what –?” I had little time to put my bottle on the table to catch the ball he lobbed at me. Then, I gave him a confused look.
          
          “Tara, I saw our old tambayan earlier. The goalposts are still there. Matalo, manlilibre.” Then he went out without waiting for me to answer.
