          Just wanted to let you know that my alter ego, @BrittanieCharmintine, has started posting a humorous romantic science fiction story called "Alien Invasion: A Love Story."
          
          It's a Douglas Adams meets Nora Roberts type of tale.
          
          Who on earth would take a job working for Hollywood's most notorious tabloid?
          
          Someone really desperate.
          
          26-year-old out-of-work accountant, Andie Bank is on the verge of bankruptcy when she gets a strange message from a strawberry-margarita swigging cowboy in a hot tub who appears on her TV screen one night. He urges her to interview with "The Star Enquirer."
          
          It turns out that people talking to her from the TV is the most normal thing Andie encounters at the tabloid. To start with, everyone there looks like they stepped off the set of  "Entourage," plus they have a nasty habit of materializing in her office when she's sure she's alone.
          
          To avoid bankruptcy (and not because her potential boss is the hottest guy she's ever seen),  Andie agrees to take the job. Now all she has to do is tell her best friend, Sterling Champagne, the biggest movie star in the world. To complicate matters, the tabloid is actively trying to ruin the star's life. 
          
          Soon Andie realizes that her coworkers are a bunch of aliens plotting to take over Hollywood by abducting celebrities and replacing them with replicants. To make matters worse, Sterling Champagne is next on the list!
