Deborah Shepard is a published author and poet who was born in Carmel, California, USA, and has a delightful family; a husband that was in the military for 25 years and their son, who is married with one child, making Deborah and her husband first time grandparents. Deborah herself says: “I am a teacher and a writer, my background is French, English and Native American Cherokee.” She attended high school in Carmel, and attended a few years in Germany for grade school. She is currently enrolled in Bates College for Para educators and Clover Park College.
