He was human, that part was for sure. He seemed perfectly normal, perched on a swing in the park. Although, everything he wore was in black and white, as if he was stuck in some sort of old black and white film. Even his eyes and hair - his skin was drained of colour, like plain white paper; his hair was the colour of coal, along with his eyes, but they seemed to be dull.

"One eye open. One still in a dream."

It was as if he had been completely decolourised, but he seemed peaceful enough, gently swaying back and forth on the swing, looking as if he was an average nineteen year old with not a single care. 

But who could know? All he saw out of his eyes were muted greys, dirty whites and dull blacks - he was colour blind, they had told him.

"Some people cling longer to life than expected."
