Hello. I know this is sudden, but may I ask you a question? (_ _;)
I heard that a few years ago, Russian schools introduced a new curriculum called “Разговоры о важном”. If you happen to be a student, could you tell me if this curriculum actually exists? Also, could you tell me what you're being taught or doing in it?
I'm Japanese and have recently started becoming interested in Russia.

Yes, we also have some similar school events in Russia. There are Sports Days too — usually in spring or autumn — where students take part in running, team games, or relay races.
We also have concerts for holidays like New Year, Victory Day (May 9), or the beginning and end of the school year. Students perform songs, dances, or small plays.
And there are school trips as well — sometimes to museums, historical places, or nature parks. In high school, we sometimes have longer trips, like to another city.

Wow, thank you so much・ω・!
I heard that the curriculum is different from Japanese schools, and I was curious to know what it's like.
Hmm... What kinds of school events do you have in Russia? In Japanese schools, we have events like sports days (where kids compete in relay races, ball toss games, and perform dances), concerts, and school trips.
If you don't mind, I'd love to hear about yours.

Hi! Thanks for your message — sure, you can ask! =]
Yes, there really is a program in Russian schools called “Conversations About Important Things” (in Russian: “Razgovory o vazhnom”). It was introduced a few years ago, around 2022. It’s a weekly class where students talk about different topics like kindness, friendship, family, culture, history, or what’s happening in the country.
Sometimes we watch short videos, discuss things with the teacher, or do small activities. It’s not a usual lesson — it’s more like a time to talk and share opinions about life and values.
That’s cool that you’re interested in Russia! What made you want to learn more about it? =^
