There is no actor I’ve learned more from than Tony. I don’t think I ever told him that. So, I’m putting it out there to the universe in the hope that somehow the message finds him.
A lot of memories have been stirred in the last few days. You’ll hear people say he was kind, warm, talented, generous. All true and then some.
He was patient, he was a consummate professional (as evidenced in the first picture where he remains focused despite some idiot trying to put him off).
The days he was on set were days you looked forward to. I would likely learn something. There would almost certainly be laughter.
Ever since working with him, I still have his voice delivering advice, on or off set, somehow tailored to whatever moment of my career I’m in. Many years from now and with each new challenge, I hope I’ll continue to hear from that voice
