I am officially calling it quits on Slinktober. It was a fun idea at the time (last October) but I am so over it now. I hate it. I hate all of it and it's like pulling teeth out of a vampire while you have deep lacerations on your hands. 
          
          I want to work on other things. My friend says to pull the Marie Kondo card "it no longer sparks joy." 
          
          I'll try to do the whole thing as bullet point headcanon format so that y'all can see the shenaniganary that went on in my brain, but as for fully formed short stories—that ain't happening. Ever.
          
          I'm going to work on super secret zine project and my WIPs: Polo, Rabid Devotion, Shark Bait, and Mousetrap. And I also have a hankering to try some MHA fiction so I'll probably throw that in there too. Maybe even work on Three's Company.

I'm officially prepping for Camp Wrimo in less than 2 weeks. I have some short stories I am required to work on first and foremost and then the goal is to knock out as many Slinktober fics as I can. I gave myself a word maximum of 1500 per piece to ensure I actually finish these things. 
          
          I'm also going to be chopping Polo chapter 3 into two parts so that I at least get another update posted for that one. I'm still rewriting chapter 3 and making it better so I'll be scheduling part one of chapter 3 for next Friday.

I have few more installments to add to the Arlong collection but I won't be getting them uploaded until second week of April. I was editing one to get up before Easter but I got hit with a murderous influenza virus that just keeps getting worse each day. I couldn't even speak at one point, that's how bad it was. I'm postponing the updates until I fully recover but you can expect a Blorbo Swap that was inspired by wife swap shows. Quin and I swapped Marco and Arlong. Quin also sent me some spicy asks and I'll treat each question as a new installment, so there will be a total of 3 spicy asks with spicy answers.
          
          After those four I won't be updating anymore in April as it's Camp Wrimo and I'm trying to knock out 40k for a project. I'll be back in May with that project as a new work entirely (it's a Marco x Reader) and it'll post on a weekly schedule starting Friday May 10th at 4:00pm EDT. 
          
          Until the update, have a wonderful Easter and stay healthier than me!

Alrighty, we have two chapters for Mousetrap and the first bit of Rabid Devotion up. I've also got an ongoing collection of all things Arlong up and running. I have to make massive changes to my Colors of the Sky book, that idea has not been panning out at all and so I have to scrap it to make deadline. 
          
          I hope to be able to revisit the idea in the future so I'm going to consider it postponed and run with idea number two for the challenge. But Laki's love story is on the back burner for the foreseeable future.

Outline be damned, Mousetrap is taking whatever turn it jolly well pleases. And good gosh, I'm so glad gillyrats aren't a thing for realsies.

Just going to put up skeleton housekeeping posts for two more projects. Wattpadiversary begins in a few days and I don't feel like dealing with housekeeping next month.

I've got 3 of the 5 works I have for Arlong posted. It's getting late where I'm at and I have appointments in the morning. I'll get the rest of them posted tomorrow and will also throw them up on AO3 and create the masterlist on tumblr for Arlong.

Not going to lie, every time I see the ASL trio/brothers all I can think of is the American Sign Language trio/brothers. I'm just waiting for some pirates who talk with their hands and the Marines are trying to crack the "gang signs" because it's clearly code they use to get around the snails and government sanctioned wire tapping. I want to read this non-existent story and I do not know anything about ASL to be able to write it myself. Someone else write it and tag me because I want to read it.

The Better Mousetrap finally has a better outline and I've got some basic worldbuilding done. Quin helped me get through my dilemmas and now I have a solid idea of the whole story. According to the outline there are 12 major sections each with a minimum of 3 major scenes, each of which can be broken down. This thing got outlined like a novel but is getting published a chapter at a time. Never done this before, but I'm excited because now there is a solid plan, with characters, twists, background, shenanigans, and maybe some legit romance. 
          
          I made devil fruits for this. I made characters for this. I made DRAMA for this. I made COMEDY for this. I made a tall reader. I made epithets, timeline, islands, and a new nickname for Reader in a Kid-centric fic. I have hat tips to so many things and to Mouse & Birdie. 
          
          Y'all, I am just so damn excited. February is going to be so much fun.

The Better Mousetrap is officially live! Only the housekeeping post is up but I'm hoping to have chapter one posted before next week.
