Interesting book you have there and while I'm a Sci-fi freak myself, I also occasionally read fantasy. Let me tell you, that prologue immediately hooked me! If you wouldn't mind, would you read the first parts of my book? I'm not advertising, I just see that you're not half bad at writing and would like advice and feedback from you for that reason entirely.
