I think Tolstoy's Anna Karenina is the greatest novel ever written. I'm looking hard for something that will knock that off the shelf. Suggestions?

I write mostly fiction and enjoy short stories. I write weekly on my website about living the good life and about evolution. Not very focused, I know. I'm working on it.
