Second story

I ran. The flapping of wing, beats of horse's hooves, splash of a mermaids tails,  the screeching of bats, and growls of werewolves got closer. I ran. They were so close on my trail I could sense each one of their hot, sweaty breaths as if they were on my very own neck. I cursed my self  I was on the edge of the steepest  cliff  in all the parts. The noise behind me becoming louder leaving me with no choice. I jumped.

          First book
I only had one thought that night. Run. I listen.
I heard the paw steps getting louder and and louder. I felt the  exhaustion pick my legs begging them to slow down. Although my begs they listened. I felt the piping hot pain shot up my side as the claws raked me. Right before I pass out I heard. " Night night Jewel don't worry about jade. She in nice paws now." Faintly in the background I heard I soft cry. Everything went black.

Oh and in the prologue it was about a female mother that ran away then had birth and then the pack that she ran from is coming after her so she stashes her pup and runs for her life. The bit in the prologue is her running for an unknown reason and someone finds her and she dies but right before she dies she hears the scream of her pup and they take her. Dose that make sense?

@Ducktaperlover "I heard the padding and the dense sheets of leaves flying from the feet of the beast. The smell of death is making its way behind me, engulfing me like a wave. I breathe heavily gasping for air. Exhaustion is pumping through my legs, bloodstream, and pounding in my head. Hissing at me to stop. The hissing noise stopped. But so did I. " No!" I scream. I hear a loud rip in the ground behind me. The large beast raked through my side. Falling to the damp ground, I hear a faint scream of terror and then the smell of death hits me once more in the face as I hear the words "Don't worry Jewel, your little friend is with the right wolf now." Then everything goes black and i pass out.
