As for the girl, she can either be really stiff and freaking out inside or pretend she's interested and thinks it's sweet. Maybe add other things to the shrine, like clothes, discarded wrappers, shoe lace, random things that he sees precious because they were once hers.

Maybe have him have an insane shrine full of pictures from when she was little. Maybe a photo shop wedding picture? Or other pictures with her face pasted on them. Of them doing things they never did and him talking about like they did. Like taking trips, having picnics, her first day of high school. You know, maybe turn his obsession into complete dillusion.

what if he started doing things slowly, like brushing her hair, holding her close as she struggles, gives her bathes, even hand feeds her. Start him out as so infatuated that he "HAS" to do everything for her himselfml.
