As long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a writer, but in my teen years and early adulthood, I lost my way. I have done a lot of different things in my life; taxi dispatcher, answering service operator, singer/songwriter, goth rock musician, housekeeper, street performer, metaphysical store proprietress, psychic, and thanks to the discipline I learned at NaNoWriMo, I am now a professional writer. My husband was in a terrible life-threatening, crippling accident five years ago and after I spent seven months basically living with him in the hospital, I found that I was forced to re-evaluate everything I did and determine what mattered to me and what makes life worth living. Recently I have rediscovered my desire to write for writing's sake. I maintain a blog and write articles for various Pagan magazines and web publications while I do readings at The Threads That Bind Us in Vernon, BC.

This is my third year at NaNoWriMo. I won the first year, but I did not complete my novel until February of 2012. In year two I wrote the sequel, but I didn't finish because I started late; my non-fiction book, "The Witch's Eight Paths of Power" had its deadline halfway through the month; it will be published by Weiser Books in Fall of 2014! I'm also writing a subscription-only professional blog on acclaimed multi-faith website Patheos.com based on my book. This is my first published book and it represents the fulfillment of a lifelong goal. Now for the second one; to be a bestselling novellist . . .
