I think too much. I'm not good at talking but give me a pen and I'll write down the universe for you. I believe that poetry is the purest expression of self, and I'm aware of how pretentious that sounds. I don't talk the way I think, but I write the way I think. It's not good, but neither am I. I write the words as they pass through my head. I tell the stories that stick in my head. Not much of them will be beautiful or comforting. I write them with the knowledge that nobody likes naked Beat-Generation inspired poetry enough to read them. When no one reads my words, I'm free to say whatever the hell I please.
