my immortal snail ending would be
          
          the snail backs you into a corner there is nowhere to run or hide anymore. as the snail reaches you it starts to wonder if it'll die too or if it will wonder the earth forever with no purpose. deciding not to take the risk it back off and you run. 
          
          Its been a few centuries and you haven't seen the snail; you feel an odd sense of peace sitting on your porch watching the sunrise as you realize you can rest easy now.
