DirewolfLudwig

Sorry about the multiple announcements/pings. I was being held back by the maximum character limit lol

DirewolfLudwig

And another book! This one is called “The Wind of the Dead”. When the world seems to invert itself, throwing you into the world of the dead, banishing you from life, what would you do? Cry in confusion and fear? Feel the aching desire to return home? Or would you rather stay....Aspen is a boy who must choose. His time is limited amongst the spirit-inhabitants of the Necropolis: a gothic-style city full of spirits ranging from all shapes and sizes. A girl who can become snow-white she-wolf with antlers, a talking red fox sporting a top hat, cane, and black suit, and various other peculiar characters will bump into Aspen on his mission to get back home. There’s A LOT MORE to both of these stories but I don’t want to spoil too much. I ’m first going to write “The Wind of the Dead” before I start “A Summer’s Regicide” since “The Wind of the Dead” will take less time to do than “A Summer’s Regicide”. After all, “The Wind of the Dead” will only be one book...a very large one at that. On the other hand, “A Summer’s Regicide” will be a trilogy consisting of three reasonably large books forming it. Anyways, that was my first major announcement and I hope you all see this! I’m going to start on “The Wind of the Dead” as soon as I can, but highschool is kind of slagging me hard right now! I’ll try to start the book when I find the time to do so...and when I feel no stress. Parting words: “Honor and nobility...might and mercy. Don’t stop howling!”

The name of this rebirthed trilogy is “A Summer’s Regicide”. The book is about a boy living in the mountains whose life is suddenly and unexpectedly sparked with adventure, flinging him into a dark and evil world full of malicious beasts, vengeful dragons, plotting humans, and a certain prophesied “Heir of Winter”, the frozen, undead man that will rise to take the seasonal throne, securing Winter’s Reign. Ludwig’s path is full of terrors and fantastical things and beings, but will he be able to carry the burdens of the world? Will he be able to make the honorable choices he wants to make? When circumstances are against him, will he abandon his honor? Will he be crushed by the blight known as Humanity? Will humanity’s evil corrupt him, filling him with hatred for his own species? That is up to him and those who accompany him on Ludwig’s journey through life. One thing is certain: there will come a day when the ice winds howl south, embalming the world in ice and snow. There will come a day when all things warm will grow cold and lifeless. There will come a day when Winter will bring forth the fall of Summer, taking the seasonal throne for itself and establishing Winter’s Reign. All will freeze. All will tremble. All will calm, leaving behind a winter wasteland absent of all life....

I have two ideas: one is the trilogy I was planning on doing. It’s using the same world from Sword Seraph but editing it a bit. I’m making it a low-fantasy series with a moderate amount of magic and stuff. There’ll still be beasts and monsters of all sizes though. Dragons are still relevant as well and they’re still as godly as ever; perhaps even more so.

I probably should’ve established this long ago, but I’ll make it official now: I’ve discontinued my book that I’ve been working on. Whew, what a test run that was for my writing experience. From “Dancing With Monsters” to “Onyx Knight” to “Sword Seraph”. I really couldn’t make up my mind could I? Well, that was because of my lack of planning and a baseline structure for my book. This led to the eventual degradation of the story (not just because of that though). I also discontinued the book because of the fact that I switched POVs in the middle of the book to test out whether or not I preferred 1st or 3rd person. It was also the grave mistake of including romance just for the sake of including romance. For these reasons, I’ve decided to discontinue my book...BUT. THERE’S. MORE. I haven’t been dead all this time doing nothing, sitting on my ass, doing nothing. I’ve been brainstorming and pondering ideas. What ideas? Book ideas, you gorydamn idiot.

Sorry for this guys: I’m going to go on a small hiatus for today. I will write and release the next chapter of Onyx Knight next weekend. A few chapters (or a couple. It depends on how far I get) after that, I’m going on another one (this will be longer most likely) to develop the world itself so that I don’t end up coughing up random words to name places (I basically want to give each place meaning instead of making a place up just to make it). Again, sorry for making you wait like this.
