Welcome to the Wattpad page dedicated entirely and wholly to the promotion of diverse fiction* and writers right here on Wattpad. Diverse Fiction is a profile hosting weekly ezines featuring a diverse story/poem, an interview with a diverse writer, a discussion about a subject of diversity, and a comment chapter where you, the Wattpad community, get to share your thoughts and opinions on the subject or some top tips on how to diversify your work.



But, you ask, what is diversity? English fiction has been long dominated by white, heterosexual/romantic, cis, non-disabled persons of European heritage. As we have moved along in accepting other races, cultures, ethnicities, sexualities/romantic attractions, assigned gender/sex variations, and disabled persons as equal members of society, it is time our fiction reflected that, and what better place to do that then on Wattpad? Diverse fiction means stories with protagonists that differ in some way or the other, be it their race/culture, sexuality/romantic attraction, assigned gender/sex, or as a disabled person. A diverse writer is someone who shares these qualities along with their protagonists.
