            she gave a patient kind smile at his self-assured confidence, rather used to such antics. after all, if there was one thing the other olympian gods were, it was confident. but even then, her eyes widened a little at his introduction,   “ ah, king theseus! it's such a pleasure to be graced by your presence! ”   she greeted him properly with a small bow of her head, smile rather slim and nervous now. of course it was just her luck to run into the king who had created a cult for aphrodite— her mother, all whilst she wandered the earth in mortal disguise. however, she was still hopeful of not being recognized, as she was rather unknown to the mortals.   “ i've heard stories of your greatness. i've never imagined i would run into you here. say... have you ingulfed in chariot races as well ? ”

            “ a ‘thrill’  ,  you say ? well  —  you came to the  / right /  place then ! ” he’d cockily answer , confident smirk smeared all across his lips . theseus was more than self - assured in himself ; maybe a little too much , and it was surely clear by interactions alone . “ aye  ,  that i am ! theseus is my name  —  i’m king of athens . slayer of the mighty minotaur and much more  ,  and the champion of the elysium as you’re already keenly aware ! ”

            “ oh. i was just seaking a little thrill. ”  she replied smoothly, giving him a rather coy smile.   “ it has been a while since i've had some excitement. perhaps i shall find some here... ”   she mused softly, blue eyes twinkling like the clearest skies in the sunlight.   “ so you are one of the champions here ? it's an honor to be meeting you. ”   with a far more precious smile, she extended her delicate hand to him,   “ my name is seraphina. ”

*  the goddess would offer soft laughter, one of her hands gently holding the others elbow;  I'm hopes to steady them.  it was true;  aphrodite could walk in some of the tallest heels imaginable.  standing in a pair of tall, white heels, she would look down to her daughters own, stubbed heels─  another laugh escaping her lips.  then, she would take her own step forward, trying to guide the young goddess forward.  *  see, honey?  toe first, then press your heel down.  keep your weight  /  forward.  /  *  she'd hum, shifting to pinch the others cheeks.  *  you can do it!  i'm sure of it.  you can always ask your brother for help, too.

            “ you make it look so easy!! it's easier said than done... ”   she replied in soft frustration, trying to take another graceful step... but instead failed miserably. it was unusual for seraphina to ask her mother for anything, but she had been having trouble with walking in high-heeled shoes. and- even whilst bare most of the time- aphrodite knew how to look beautiful and walk elegantly in even the highest of shoes.   “ there has to be a secret to this, i swear. how can you make it look so easy ? ”    she asked her with a small cry, about to give up on this all and never ever wear these.

            "  "loversgirl" ? "  seraphina inquired with a softly raised eyebrow.   " perhaps you should think of more charming words if you want to have this wine back. "   she teased him with a small soft laugh, but then leaned forward and poked his forehead with a cute grin,   " i have no intention to hand back your wine, dion. a little sober streak might do you well. "  the young goddess hummed thoughtfully, goblet grasped elegantly in her hands as she moved to stand up. with the ruffling of silky light fabrics that draped around her petite body so enticingly, she was to her feet. with a soft amused giggle befalling her lips, she turned her back to him with a smile. the low cut of her dress revealed her bare graceful back in all its glory, a true gem for the eye.   “ now then, i shall take my leave~ ”   she said and raised his cup in her hands before turning to leave in a playful fashion.

            “ have i now ? been unable to control myself with you being such a  / facetious /  thing almost all night . ” maybe it was the wine , or maybe the other was just that downright funny . there’s no way of telling really ; it’s not like dionysus could get drunk off his ass easily , nor be far away from pretending like he was . soon said wine god would frown , now having the wine out from his grasp .  “ totally  / unfair /  ,  loversgirl  .  there’s no time to be stoppin’  —  so be good and kindly hand the wine back to me . ”

"   she shook her head in fondness, light blonde locks flying through the air like streaks of light in the dimness of the day. amused blue eyes watched him as the daughter of aphrodite leaned forward to snatch the goblet of wine out of his hands.   " you may be the god of wine, but surely the time to stop has come. especially when you act like a giggly old man.~ "

            a barely audible sigh fell from her lips at his words, she couldn't comprehend why mortals always felt this way. yes, heaven was a glorious place, but both had their charm. she enjoyed the beautiful nature here that flowed into different types of landscapes. all she ever knew was the rich garden eden, but it still was not the same. filth... there was no such thing here. but perhaps some other angels would disagree on that. she always had been more accepting through her heritage after all.
            
            " it is fine. i just... Don't understand the concept of that. heaven and earth are very different, yes. but both are great. "    she told him while sitting down elegantly. she crossed her legs and stayed silent while watching him place down the plates of food. her head tilted softly with curiosity, blue eyes bright like the ocean on a sunny day. yet, she waited patiently for him to sit and start eating before she dared to touch her plate herself. as she took the first bite, a smile lit up her features as it seemed like her mood blossomed and brightened again.
            
            seraphina kicked her legs back and forth while happily but slowly munching on her food. pleased sounds left her lips as she nodded enthusiastically and spoke after swallowing,    " mortal food surely is something!! this is great! "     she complimented happily, taking another bite with a truly joyful expression. however, halfway through her plate, she seemed to slow down, her expression unreadable now as she kept glancing at him and his plate. it took a few seconds longer of her odd behavior before she finally revealed why. slowly, she lifted food with her fork, holding her small hand beneath it as she lifted it over to his plate before dropping it there.    “ eat. ”    she said softly, but sounded surprisingly stubborn. a gentle fold had folded between her brows as she gazed at him so worriedly.    “ please. you should eat more. for more strength. ”

"There is more than enough. Don't worry. Maybe even just a bit for taste if you're worried about taking food from someone else? It hardly ever happens here, we are a fortunate community." He dusted off his clothes and hands, leading her along to the common area, rather nice and big. Not something many of these buildings had. Then again, it was more like a cathedral rather than a church. Marco would first wash his hands before getting them out some plates and a cup for water.
            
            "No, I just thought that compared to heaven it must seem so much more dirty. Just from the earth and all the creatures living here. I meant no offence by it. Just some curiosity."
            
            He didn't really eat much, he just never had the appetite for a lot of food. So, he figured giving her the same amount would be alright. Along with some nice and fresh water. He lead her to follow to the small dining area.Letting her sit as he set the items down for them, going back to get the watter and utensils before sitting down himself.

            she tried to calm down her excitement after she noticed how overbearing her own energy was. “ eat ? oh yes, right. well, i've only ever had mortal food once.... ”   she hummed thoughtfully, surpassing the need to accept right away. after a short pause, she looked back to him with a gentle smile and gave a small nod.   “ only if there would be still enough left for everyone else. i do not wish to cause hunger by eating when i don't require it to survive. ”   she said softly but meant it fullheartedly. 
            
            the angelic being in front of him nodded, planning to follow along with his daily rhythm for now anyways.   “ sounds like a plan to me!~ ”   she chirped out cutely, that bright smile from such purehearted excitement breaking through once more... before it fell as quickly as it appeared. the delicate female looked at him so shocked, at loss for words for a moment before she shook her head slowly. she shook her head again, this time with more strength behind it as her beautiful bright locks flew through the air.    “ no... ”   she spoke silently, eyes giving him such a sad look once more.    “ it's not... it's not dirty here. why do you feel like this ? ”   she asked, approaching him from new as slender hands settled upon his shoulders with a gentle light touch.   “ earth is beautiful. and so are you mortals. i love every single one of you. how can i feel dirty here ? ”  she embraced him again, but this time her expression held a mix of distress, sadness and frustration. with her petite body pressing to his, her warm embrace only lasted a few seconds but felt so much longer. there was just something about her embraces that felt so fullfilling, and yet left a feeling of longing for more.

            “ a-ah! yes, please! you see... I was supposed to meet lovely persephone but i...ended up getting lost. you seem like you know your way around here. could you give me a hand ? ”   with a kind yet nervous smile, the beautiful young woman turned to him. bright blue eyes met his whilst she clutched to the coveres gift basket within her hands. her blonde hair was almost of white, met with perfect flawless skin, she held a strong resemblance to her mother aphrodite.

"A fighter? No way. I'm not some desperate chump looking for small chanage." Normally saying stuff like that, at a place like this, around all these fighters was just asking for trouble. Yet, no one seemed to stand against his statement. They didn't agree with their reasons being so belittled, but they also didn't was to be on Sett's bad side either. "I'm the boss around here, sweet heart. Only the best of the best get to challenge me, if they're stupid enough to do so."

            with the brilliance of bright blue eyes meeting his, the petite woman turned to him. her white hair glistered in the dim light like stars at night, her lips parting with hesitance.   “ are you one of the fighters ? ”   she asked him out of nowhere, voice soft, like a gentle carrass of the skin. her appearance was so unfitting for such a dark violent place. not just was she of such incredible natural beauty, she was built delicate, petite. this was no place to be for a woman so gentle and fragile, and yet she stood in front of him with some hesitance, yes, but also her unwavering stubborness that brought her to this place.
