It's like midnight here but f.uck it I'm in the mood for it. I don't know if anyone will even care xD

But anyway, as many of you guys have probably noticed, I've basically gone dormant on Wattpad. For a long while now. Yes, I am still alive, so don't worry about that xD

If any of you have ever wondered why, well, here you go. You're welcome, nosy/concerned parties. I've essentially switched to writing fanfic instead of role-playing. And I post like all my stuff on ao3. My Wattpad account is mostly kind of just used as a storage centre for all my stuff because ao3 deletes drafts after a month (thanks for that -_-).

And I don't really anticipate returning to role-playing anytime soon, if I'm being frank. Turns out writing and role-playing often require very different writing styles. Which I found out when I got back into a single roleplay right in the middle of writing my first (albeit massive) fic (that rp was pun's vampire rp, in case you were wondering). And I really struggled with it. I've always had problems with engaging with rps long-term (my apologies to every roleplay I've dropped off midway ) but it was massively exacerbated and I couldn't get to the long replies I'd once been really good at, because you're not meant to write for that long about one character's thoughts and feelings in fic, at least not repeatedly. Plus I hated writing out forms, something that had once been my favourite thing about role-playing. I could barely get through like five replies and that's kind of when it hit me. My writing style has changed a /lot/. And it's really no longer suited to roleplay. At all. And I don't love roleplay nearly as much as I love writing, at least not anymore.

I probably should've posted this a lot earlier but better late than never, right? I'm just really good at procrastinating xD

But yeah, to sum it up, I'm probably leaving role-playing forever.

So I wanna say goodbye and really really sincere thank you to all the amazing roleplayers, friends and roleplays I've met on this site. My time role-playing was one of the most enjoyable and exciting and formative times in my life. It really inspired my love for writing fanfic and for engaging with all my favourite fandoms more directly. So many of you have made such a massive impact on my life and I have fond memories of basically all of it. Even the rabid rushes to get roles xD You've helped craft some of the most amazing and Oscar-worthy stories there are, with outstanding characters and fascinating relationships. You've built these insane worlds, populated with so many intriguing plotlines and unpredictable plot twists and mysteries and still kept the heart and soul at the centre of all the conflict with your immense love for character. You've provided so many millions of inspirations for me.

So take this as my massive virtual hug to all of you and know that I love all of you sincerely. Thank you so much. For all of it. Everything. I really can't put into words how thankful I am for all of you. Keep role-playing and even if you don't, keep creating, dreaming and writing.

Hypnic jerks are the worst. I just wanna sleep. Leg please don't jerk randomly just as I'm about to get into zone. Just lemme have some sleep.

And nope, there it goes again, kicking out randomly. And now I'm not sleepy. Thanks a lot. Wow. My body and mind really hate co-operation.
