I feel like he shouldn't be a combatant anymore but instead a mysterious, creepy entity that others can run into.
He's a combination of Igor from Persona and the owl from Ocarina of Time, basically.
Nev hosts a "purgatory house", a mansion in between the physical and spirit realms. Life can get boring for him so when he's not tending to his family he can leave his realm at will and hide in the physical realm, usually in the forest. He prefers the night to the day for obvious reasons.
