When I write a book I want it to end up in the dusty corner of the store that hardly anyone goes to. I want it to sit there gathering dust until someone cares enough to walk past the teenage vampire romances and wind up in the dusty corner where the light barely touches. I want them to scrape the layers of dust away from each spine until they come to my book, when they pull it out I want dust particles to fly up into the air, filling their senses with an old musky smell as they turn to the first page. Inside the yellowing pages I want them to unleash the world formed with my words and becomes so engrossed that when they leave the library it is a new day, I want them to be so intrigued that they get forgotten in the library until morning. I want them to finish my book and start a blog about it, share it with their broody friends who share it with their shy friends who share it with the uncool kids on the school bench. 
I don't want my book to be just another teen romance novel that becomes a sad adapted movie and is soon forgotten. I want a lasting cult following of loyal readers, I don't want fans, I want a personal connection through my written word. I don't want to pander, I want to inspire. I don't want to write a book for profit, I want to write for the sake of writing and the hope that somewhere, someday in that tiny library in the dark dusty corner someone with a hard life and troubles on their shoulders will seek comfort in my book and not leave disappointed. I want to inspire young mines, I want to help the forgotten people, I want to change lives.
