I'm a retired teacher, from the Victorian Government Education Department.

My interests include: lay church work, service club work, driving cars, riding motorcycles, travel, photography, computers, keeping my mind active, … oh, yes, and writing.

I have completed and self-published one book, sold about 150 copies and given quite a few away (trying to build up a readership base). I have one title finished (but needing editing and will be published with four picture DVDs), one more title a quarter finished, another two started and the titles/concepts for another eight.

Unfortunately for me, voluntary commitments and family take up enough time to stop me completing what I've planned. I hope to combine a bit of travel with getting away to concentrate on writing.

The titles include:
Intertwined (already published),
It Never Happened (mystery action thriller),
Doug’s 2008 Travel Diary (to be published with four picture DVDs) (my travel diary from two around-the-world trips in 2008),
fromafriend4u (youth-aimed mystery),
Soldier (based on a song),
Intertwined – Take Two! (the future of the characters from Intertwined),
A Table For One (a series of short stories told in retrospect),
Bodice-ripping Yarns (well, sex sells and by then I may need the money),
My Family – a Fictional Account (a mixture of fact - very little - and fiction about members of my family I knew well or not at all),
Sail into Sunrise (in a future, oil-starved world, large ships are again powered by sail, but this makes them more liable to be hijacked),
The Back Yard (the story of different generations of the same family and the way each views their back yard and the changes as they age).
