Hi, in answer to your query about your Smackdown entry: the challenge states 300 to 600 words so I recommend trimming it. Word count applies only to the story, so Authors Note words don't count.

Just scrapped a chapter in Venter Bestiae I stressed over for like 3 days! I’ve now created The Writing Junkyard for any future failures I create. It’s out now with my failed chapter which I’ll be rewriting shortly for anyone interested in peeking in!
