Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, One Piece, and Fairy Tail are all trash. Naruto and Bleach I hold no opinion on and refuse to touch. DBZ bugs me.

I like to read good fanfiction, but most fanfiction is trash. If you see one that's genuinely well written, let me know, but if if it's not actually impressive, I'll tell you that you have bad taste.

If I leave a detailed negative review on your work, your work is interesting enough to hold my attention, but is heavily flawed. If I leave multiple negative reviews, you're doing something very right, but doing it terribly.

Self-inserts are trash, and CharacterXreader fanfics are even worse.

Using the term 'Time Skip' or '[Character's Name]'s POV' at the beginning of a new scene is not something that is actually done by anyone who has any dreams of getting published or actually entertaining people with their writing. I don't know where it started, but whoever did it deserves a punch for releasing this infuriating handicap into cyberspace.

Think about the last book you read. How did the author indicate a change in scene or that the narrative was following a different character? Now consider how effortless it is to just not add a character's name to the top of your scene. If you can't think of a way to show who the narrative is following through the narrative itself, you're doing something very, very wrong. If you can but choose not to, then you're just lazy and I encourage you to stop posting your writing, because you're actively making the people who read your work into worse writers.
