Definitely. By book 9 it becomes obvious that Excellinor is the brains of the operation and Alvin's just a puppet.

@storyteller0714 Eh, I dunno. I liked book 11 a lot too, mostly because of the dunking scene. I was like: You got this Hiccup! Excellinor is just a warty old toad!
