Reality doesn't impress me, so for me reading is a means of an escape into a different universe. The only types of books I read are the ones I emotionally connect with. The ones that make me laugh, cause me deep anguish or fill me with love.

Most stories, unfortunately, are crap. They are either riddled with clichés or the writing is just plain awful. A classic example that annoys me is the stereotypical 'jock and nerd/emo/effeminate' pairing. It's lead character is small, petite, weak, helpless and almost always an outcast or overtly absurd. Along comes the prince charming who is the polar opposite - popular, athletic and blessed with good looks. Such Disney-esque storyline irritates me. It masquerades as 'slash' fiction because the pairing is still stuck in traditional roles - one is masculine, other is feminine. It's as if the writers can't fathom the m/m couple where both are masculine and macho.

Also, love triangles and cheating bother me to no end. I genuinely can't comprehend why the authors love the idea of it. It just shows how selfish and insensitive the main character is. Reality is full of shit, so why corrupt the fictional world too?

Well, that's it about me.
