Hi!! ❤️

Just thought I'd pop here to say that I'm chipping away at 'What Remains' AND 'Like a Prayer' whenever I can! Life has been busy, but things are slowing down, which means I'll have better headspace and time to carve out to be creative :)

I'm hoping to post one of them (but let's hope for both!) very soon ❤️

For now, here are little snippets from my drafts (which might/prob will still be tweaked)!

          	----

          	What Remains:

He stepped out into the corridor, officially out of his self-imposed hiding. Ears strained for the sound of footsteps, voices, her, as he got closer to her door. It was open just a smidge. He swallowed thickly and knocked softly.

          	“Bee?”

The door creaked open wider from the touch, and he tentatively stuck his head in. The light flooded the room, over the scattered pots of her trailing plants, an old jumper draped over the back of her chair. The scent of violets and something very her clung to the air.

          	But she wasn’t there.

The only sign from last night was *his* shirt, thrown at the top of her hamper. That did nothing to calm his nerves or release any of the tension collected in his chest.

          	----

          	Like a Prayer:

"Well," he states, hands sliding into the pockets of his cassock, "you didn't burst into flames or make my church explode. Couldn't have been that bad, right?"

I can't help the grin that tugs at my mouth, grateful for the familiar but new rhythm of banter we made together. "Ah, there's still time for that." And I rise from the pew, moving toward him.

“Damn.” His laugh is warm and makes my stomach do stupid, silly jumps. "Haven't converted you yet, then?"

"Not even close," I smooth my dress with my palms and take a step closer, knowing that my lips are curving into a smirk. "Why? Plan to baptise me, Father?"

          	I’m going to hell.

          	----

Thank you so much for reading, and for the love and support in the comments/votes ❤️ Sending loads of love to all of you and hope you have amazing days!

Like a Prayer - Playlist

I decided to make a playlist with very intentional tracks that fit Like a Prayer it was pretty fun but also hard to find songs that have lyrics that fit the themes of the story, as well as the emotional tone. Lots of ‘tongue-in-cheek’ chaotic church vibes (but not *actually* religious or anything) mixed in with some dreamy, intimate, yearning and lust.

I’m quite happy with it, so I thought I’d thought I’d share. I’ll keep adding to it as I write!

          Enjoy xx

The lovely @sadlynotanashryver wrote and recorded a SONG (a song!!!) after reading Chapter 7 of my story, What Remains, and I am crying. Please give her lots of love because this is BEAUTIFUL!!! ❤️

Lyrics (pls correct me if i got it wrong!):

You're a dream I'm not supposed to dream,
Too golden for a soul that comes apart at the seams.
You're the dawn after years of endless night,
          And I keep telling myself,
          You're too
          briiiight,
You deserve love that doesn't flinch from the light.

Cool - I'm going to go back to listening to this on repeat while I write chapter 8 and cry (*peace out emoji*)

          THANK YOU BABE

I cannot believe What Remains hit 1k reads

Thank you all so much for giving my little story a read and I hope you enjoy what comes next!

When I first thought of the premise, as a baby storyteller, I was daydreaming about it all the time. It took a while for me to get it down on (digital) paper, but I’m so glad that I did. I’ve been having a lot of fun with this one (even though it breaks my heart sometimes lol).

Thank you again for reading but also to all the gems who vote and leave some love (or frustration with Seb lol) in the comments

It means so much to me ❤️
