50 followers! Wow, thank you so much! I'm thankful for everyone who read Overture and followed to see what comes next. ^^
With the release of the final chapter, Overture draws to a close! Thank you to everyone who took the time to read, comment, and share! It was humbling to know that this project reached so many of you, and I'll forever be grateful. Without you as the lifeblood, Shift wouldn't be what it is now!
I'd also like to thank the artists, composer, and creatives who helped me put this together! It was a long year of creation, revision, and finalizing, but it was all worth it. Your help got me through this, and I owe you a great thanks. :)
Now, I'd like to pose a Q/A to you all! If you have questions about Overture or Shift as a whole, I'll answer as long as it doesn't spoil anything! Please, tell me what worked, what didn't work, what could be improved, what stuck to you the most, etc.! I'd be happy to read them. :D
I'm aware not everyone follows me on X, so I'll announce it here, too:
The final chapter for Overture is being delayed for two reasons. 1.) I'm bogged down with finals. 2.) I'm adding a new scene that came to me recently, and I think it would make for a better chapter than what I originally intended to release.
As for a release window, I aim to have it out by next Friday, hopefully no later than Christmas. I appreciate your patience and understanding!

@CoffeeCheikh You can. You have to go to the conversation tab on your profile, then you can post updates or comment, and it gives you the option to announce it to your followers. You can only do that three times a day, though.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to read MD Shift. It's been incredible to see how well it's gone over with everyone. We've only got one chapter left in Overture!
I'll be busy this week due to finals, so please bear with me while I attend to them. I'll format the final chapter to the best of my ability, but college is my priority for now.
While the floor is open, I'd like to know your opinions as Overture is about to close out. What worked for you and what didn't? What was strong and what could use improvement? I'll take everything under advisement as I outline the next arc!

@Uzilli You're okay! Questions like these do no harm. Drones pass down code, which is their equivalent of genetics. Parental units upload their code into a pill, which compiles both to make a new code that will become the baby. All drones have cores, but they aren't the crawly things in canon because the Solver isn't an eldritch entity in Shift. The cores are more like regular hearts. They're basically a "vital organ," kind of like Sparks from Transformers. Every drone, even DDs, has one.
@Dronestahl Oh I see, thanks for explaining. The repurposing of the pill bodies is a really nice idea. I have another question though. Do the disassembly drones pass down their genetics? Also, If Uzi still has a core in this AU (If she does), then how did she get it? Sorry for asking a lot of questions but I’m just really into this AU :)
